Terrain and General Description
The Ranch land drops from a high of 3,000 feet near the eastern boundary, down to about 800 feet at the river on the western boundary. The boundary extends to the middle of the Eel River. Rolling hills of grass are interspersed with clusters of green trees, with full wooded areas in the draws and along the creeks. The well known landmark Spyrock juts up from the river bank about mid-point on the western boundary.

The Ranch is a dream-come-true for the nature lover or outdoor sportsman. Approximately four miles of fresh water to the middle of the Eel River, so clear that one can see the bottom, and spot salmon or steelhead trout, provide scenic beauty, swimming, fishing and relaxation. There are miles of horseriding trails and 4-wheel drive roads. Game is plentiful with lots of deer and wild pigs and an occasional bear; lots of quail and dove plus a few grouse and wild turkey; salmon and steel head fishing on the Eel River; not to mention the summertime fun on the river, or packing in groceries and good books for a week of reading and hiking the trails, or the pure fun of just doing nothing by gazing at the the scenic beauty. Hunting rights are currently leased to a sportsman club, but may be terminated pursuant to sale according to the owners.
